So as to be able to offer visitors to the Kalix region easy no hassles fishing we offer a special fishing license.
The so called 'Tourist fishing license' is a sport fishing license that gives one person 24 hours of sport-fishing in all waters in the Kalix River in the Kalix council area for 100 SEK, approx. 10,8 € or 6,7£. That is over 50 kilometres of river fishing including some of Sweden’s absolute best Salmon fishing rapids.
Fishing after all species including Salmon and Trout is included in the license and you can buy as renew your 24-hour licenses as you need. Week and year licenses can be purchased at out tourist bureau but these licenses are for much more limited geographic areas. If you are staying longer than 24-hours then we suggest that you purchase a 'Tourist fishing license' fish a range of areas and decide where you would like to concentrate your fishing and then buy the appropriate license.
