Kalix is truly a fisherman´s eldorado. We can offer lake, or sea fishing for a wide variety of species such as Salmon, Brown trout, Pike, Perch, Burbot, Roach and Grayling and all are wild populations in a prisitine Scandinavian environment.
The northern most tip of the Baltic has a huge number of islands and shallow bays and coves in plenty which make perfect habitats for pike. That is why we probably have more pike per acre than anywhere else in Sweden. If it is salmon you are after then the spring run of wild salmon is something that has to be seen to be believed. With a natural yearly production of over 250 000 salmon smolt the Kalix river is the premier Baltic salmon river.
As fisheries officer for Kalix council I challenge you to come here, not just to have the fishing time of your life but also for the fantastic wilderness, cultural and culinary experience that is Northern Sweden.
